This year after placing in the first three
tournaments Ali didn't have to participate in the last
two. What is even more shocking it that after not
playing in the first three, Dan only showed up for the last
two and was able to take second. This is because many
players came to only one tournament. There were 14 more
different players then last year, but only three played
in all of the tournaments compared to 7 the year before.
This lead to a record high of 25 different people scoring
points companied to last year's 11. 20 people scored
points in only 1 tournament! This made it very easy for
Dan to come in and get second.
Bryce still holds the record for the highest
point total in a pentathlon. Trigon has the record
of winning the largest Pentathlon, 121 entrees is 66%
larger then this years turn out. And now Ali has the
record of winning the easiest pentathlon. Without having
to show up for 40% of the events Ali cruised to an easy win.
Next year the Capcom Pentathlon will take
place in July. I hope more people will try to take a run
at the whole Pentathlon next year instead of settling for one
event. Thanks for everyone who came out and a special
thanks to Bobby, David and Sam for coming to all the
events. (Ok Dylan too, I know you would have been there
if it wasn't for Michigan adventure.)
Congrats again to Ali for winning the Capcom
Pentathlon 3.
